Wordless Wednesday... Coco is OOAK!

The Coco on the left, in her au naturale state, is none other than the custom made Cuddle Clone that we won at the Wigglebutt's Go HollyWoof Gala back in September last year! It took many months for this fantastic creation to come to life! And you should have heard the squeals of delight when the box it arrived in was opened!

Yes, Coco now has a body double to take on her more arduous endeavors! I didn't get a photo of it, but she hissed (or dissed) at the fantastic feline sharing the spotlight with her!

If you would like your very own Cuddle Clonehttp://www.cuddleclones.com/testimonials.html, please visit their website and see photos of some of their fantastic creations, from spiders to guinea pigs to horses...but we think this was probably the very first Cornish Rex cat they had ever done...and they captures her essence so very well, right down to the long whippy tail curled around her front legs!

And after you have ooh'd and ahh'd, we think it would be a fine time to visit the #BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop and see how many new furry friends you can make!

Wordless Wednesday

Coco & her bodyguards in their Glow-in-the-Dark Rogz collars,,,
How cool is that!

If your cat would like one of their very own, here's where to order them: http://amzn.com/B00I0RA6O0

Warning: If you have more furs than them, the collar might be hidden under floof!

All my cats are microchipped, but they also wear collars and name tags, because not all people are familiar with microchipping and if, heaven forbid, my cats escaped outside, they might be hard to catch AND get in a carrier for a stranger. Plus, it means whoever found them would have to make a trip to a vet or shelter to get them scanned for a chip.

It is safer and faster to have a name tag with your phone # on it, and in case the collar comes off, having the microchip is extra insurance and proof that the cat is yours! Many people say 'Well, my cats don't go outside'. But all it takes is a natural disaster like a hurricane, or a screen popping out of a window, or a visitor inadvertently letting them dash out the door...and your indoor only kitty is now outside!

And remember to join in the #BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop and meet 'n greet some new friends!

Monday Mewsings, Pawtograph Time!

A couple of weeks ago, Coco and I had an impromptu pawtographing appearance at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Springfield VA!

I stopped in to see if they had any copies of The Adventures of Coco le Chat, The World's Most Fashionable Feline and to talk to them about Coco possibly making a personal appearance!

As luck would have it, the assistant manager was a cat lover, and thought the book was precious (it is!) and she and if she ordered 4 copies, would Coco come by and pawtograph them?

So, a couple of weeks later we excitedly stopped in, and Coco's presence attracted a lot of book lovers in the store at the time, and of course, the employees were posing for photos with the star of the book!

I was so pleased how the photo shoot turned out, and thought you would like to see them, too!

And afterwards, Coco did a little shopping and picked out this gag gift for a friend, an Instant Ugly Christmas Sweater kit, Hahameow!

And if you still haven't ordered your copy of The Adventures of Coco le Chat, The World's Most Fashionable Feline, it is available personally pawtographed from us! Just leave us a comment that you are interested, or email Coco at info at cococouturecat dot com

It is also available from Amazon, and if you have already ordered one via Amazon, please take a moment and leave a review of the book, as that helps get the book featured more and ranked higher

Fashion Friday - A Day at the Salon!

Coco is well-known for modeling, and for her signature pink wig.

We actually had a pageant gown designed around the look of the wig...The Pink Confection by Ginger D'Aniello of Poshy Pups.

Coco is also wearing a Poshy Pups dress with her Electric Blue wig, looking very much a rock star, don't you think?

Coco is very patient and accepting of wearing these wigs, even though her 'froot bat' ears have to be folded down under the wig...so in my recent surfing around the web, I looked for a pet wig that had openings for the ears!

And look what I found! A small company called Cushzilla makes some fab creations and I decided to pick a new style for Coco, the SHAAARON brunette bowl cut bob.

I anxiously awaited it's arrival... Well, it is fabulous! The synthetic hair is soft and light and feels very much like human hair. I love how her ears poke out, giving her a real pixie look. It fit perfectly, except the bangs covered her lovely green eyes, and her nose, too!

So I called my hairdresser and asked if she could trim the bangs, and would I be able to bring Coco along for a fitting, to avoid mistakes or multiple trips.

We got the go-ahead and had a perfectly wonderful time at the Rejuvalase Salon in Stafford Virginia. My stylist, Cassandra did a super job and Coco wow'ed all the staff and clients she met...of course she did!

She is going to wear her new wig,  to Doggies & Tiaras in New York City when we go up for the pre-Westminster Pet Fashion Week, where we will attend the New York Pet Fashion Show and the Celebrity Catwalk's Fire & Ice Gala and Rose & Kismet's Pug Wedding!

I think will go smashingly with the Belle Diva Couture gown Coco won when she was awarded the Paw Vogue Pet Fashionista of 2014!

That's only six weeks away and we have lots of planning to do, so stay tuned for more info!
