Fashion Friday! Photo Shoot Success!

Yes, we know it's been over a month since our last post! Maybe the title of this update should be called Fashionably Late Friday! It might be hard to tell from the photo above, but that is Coco decked out in her Howloween costume, for which she won 'Scariest Costume'..

I know it doesn't look frightening at all, since it's girly and pink, but it does have skull & crossbones on it, as does her pillbox hat. I decorated her Pink Catillac, too and think it has a Morticia Addams kind of look to it!

This next photo was taken on an outing to historic Occoquan, Virginia and the window display caught my eye and think it makes for a stunning backdrop with a vintage look and she is wearing that Howloween costume contest winning dress, too!

Then last weekend, we paid a visit to my favorite Christmas time places to visit, Merrifield Garden Center. Visiting a nursery with a cat? Yes, they are very pet friendly.

A couple of years ago, I took some fabulous photos of Coco, posed in the midst of their holiday decorations and multitude of decorated Christmas trees, all in different themes. In fact, one of the photos won Coco the coveted title of PawVogue Fashionista 2014! You can read an article about that by Jody Miller-Young, of Bark & Swagger fame:

This year,  Coco has some stunning couture to wear and I think the photos turned out well, what do you think?

And then to round out a photogenic weekend, Coco and I went to a holiday photo shoot by Sabrina Moore, of Dirty Paw Photography. Sabrina had met Coco before, at one of the Wigglebutt Warriors Gala Fundraisers, HollyWoof. So we were pleased to be able to have a sitting with her this year! Sabrina does so much to help shelter pets find forever homes, by providing photo sessions free of charge to local rescues and shelters!

As I didn't have any Thanksgiving holiday/Autumn themed photos of Coco, I decided to dress her in one of the pretty dresses that our friend, Stacy Hurt, made for Coco for the last BlogPaws conference. This next photo was my favorite of those that Sabrina took, with Coco looking so elegant in a dress of vintage fabric!

And for fun, we also did a Merry Christmas photo, which would make a nice Christmas card, don't you think? It only looks snowy and cold, with Coco looking sweet in her pretty dress with a beribboned  ruffled skirt and silver doves on the bodice.

Well, I think that about catches you up on the fashionable fun Coco and I had this past month! This weekend, Coco and I are off to a cat show in Maryland and the theme is Santa Paws and of course, Coco will be strutting her stuff in some of the holiday finery featured in the photos we shared today.

And we will have for sale pawtographed copies The Adventure's of Coco Le Chat, The World's Most Fashionable Feline, the lovely children's book featuring Coco. In fact, now is a purrfect time to mention what a wonderful Christmas gift the book makes! If you would like to purchase a copy, visit Coco's Shoppe to read more about it! Coco's Shoppe

#BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop, Coco Style!

Even though Coco's blog has been quiet , we both have been busy socializing and having fun at pet-centric fundraisers...something that we love to be involved in!

We have attended three events recently to support animal rescue, the first being the Homeless Animal Rescue Team's Wine Wag Walk event at Quattro Goomba's Winery. Fellow animal lovers gathered to support animal rescue and Coco had a booth there, showing off her fashion sense! And Coco donated a couple of books to the H.A.R.T. raffle prize table, and sold another copy to one of the attendees.

And then we ventured into Washington DC to be a part of a fundraiser for the Washington Humane Society at Whiskey and Whiskers at One Eight Distilling. We had a blast! Great drinks, delicious food and lots of pets and pet-loving people! Here's a slideshow I found of some of the fun had by all!

And then to top off October, we (the entire cat family!) traveled up to Altoona PA to our 3rd Annual Central PA Pet Expo, and it's one of our favorite pet events every year!

Joining in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop is something else pet-centric that is fun to join in, too! And November is time to celebrate National Senior Pet Month (Coco says age is just a number!)

Wordless Wednesday-Pet Holiday Edition!

Part of our summer pet holiday adventures was attending our first Fabulous Fur-Baby Cotillion in Florida! We had the pleasure of meeting Laura of G Girl Productions, who puts on many over-the-top pet fashion events in Florida, when Coco and I were up in NYC for the Celebrity Catwalk event last December.

Reconnecting with friends we met up in NYC, the sweet canine model, Millie, the Modeling Boston Terrier's personal assistant picked us up at the airport, took us shopping for party supplies and just made the weekend even more special by being there!

We stayed at a very nice Homewood Suites hotel and our room was like our own little condo, with pretty grounds and very pet-friendly staff! All the pets staying there were pampered and treated like the celebrities they are! We all got to live it up at the Abacoa Country Club, too!

Coco had a special one-of-a-kind dress made for her, by the talented Janice Craig of Belle Diva Couture. The ensemble even included a matching wristlet corsage for me. Janice's designs garnered many oooh's and ahhh's and she won for another one of her amazing gowns!

We went shopping at a cute little boutique called Poochie & Catana, and wowed the staff at Chico's too, while I shopped for something for me!

We had time to relax by the pool and socialize at the hotel in-between the Cotillion and the Paris themed brunch on Sunday!

So even though this post is months overdue, we thought you would enjoy seeing some of the photos from our fantastic weekend, which like most of the evens Coco and me attend, helped raise money and awareness for Florida Yorkie Rescue!

And you, too, can meet some fabulous new friends by joining in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop and not even have to hop on a plane to do it!

Fashion Friday!

Coco, the Cornish Rex, at the Just Cats Clinic Open House

Yes, we have been absent from the fashion scene for the past month, at least as far as blogging goes! But I've been busy growing Coco's Instagram presence and am quite pleased with the response! Coco is a very 'visual' cat and Instagram seems to be a good medium for her unique style!

Coco has a new Watermark, designed by the fabulous Debbie Glovatsky of GloGirly fame! It coordinates with the rest of her website, and I think the heart is a nice touch! Just getting through the hundreds of photos of Coco and editing them is quite a task to squeeze into my evenings and weekends!

In fact, it was while doing just that which made me realize I never posted any photos from our glamorous time in Florida last June, attending the Fabulous FurBaby Cotillion! Both Coco and me got to 'dress to the nines' and also got in some relaxation time out by the pool, and it was all for a good cause...to help Florida Yorkie Rescue!

Just to give you a taste, here are a couple of photos taken by photographer extraordinaire, Neely Waring...more to follow next Fashion Friday!

International Cat Day Celebrated 'Round The World!

Coco, the Cornish Rex, and Teri at a park in Brooklyn New York

We hope you took some time out of your busy day to celebrate the human-animal bond with your cats on International Cat Day!

Also known as World Cat Day, celebrates the bond between people and cats and was created in 2002 by The International Fund for Animal Welfare . Founded in 1969, IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare) work to help save animals in crisis around the world. In more than 40 countries, IFAW rescues individual animals, works to prevent cruelty to all animals, and advocates for the protection of wildlife and habitats.

Coco, the Cornish Rex, and Nolo, the foster cat, kissing?

This sweet photo of a 'cat kiss' is of Coco and Nolo, a kitty we helped rescue from a shelter, and fostered until he found his forever home. It made us feel good to have helped make a difference in a homeless cats life!

"Saving the life of one animal may not change the world, but the world will surely change for that one animal"

Just found out it's National Hot Fudge Sundae Day today! I had ordered this sweet confection for Coco and it arrived but I haven't had the chance to put the elastic straps on it, so she isn't wearing it...

But I had to post the photo anyway...it's too delicious not to!

But here' a photo of Coco in her Ice Cream hat... Not a Sundae but just as delicious!
