Monday Mewsings

The lovely Danielle Areco of Chico's Pet Depot with Coco!
Yes, it's been two weeks since I sat down and actually completed a blog post. I have felt so rushed lately that everything I wrote looked subpar to me, so I couldn't hit that 'publish' button!

But so much has been happening, Coco and I have been out and about the past two weekends, that I've got to share what we've been up to! Here's another cute shot of us at Chico's Pet Depot a couple of weeks ago. We hope to do a paw signing there sometime in November, and would love to see you there!

We had a fine time at the Central PA Pet Expo on October 19th, up in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Our good friend Amy Jo calls this expo 'her baby' and she puts on a great show, with lots of variety and in a fantastic venue!

We were very excited to attend for the 2nd year in a row, especially as the new children's book featuring Coco was out (at least we got our copies a bit early!) and it was fun sharing Coco in person and then opening the book and saying "... and here she is in her Paris outfit, complete with beret and sunglasses...so chic!"

Having Coco there in person was a real plus and we sold 6 copies of her book and each person said it was so nice to meet her and then get the book! We've had over 50 people ask for pawtographed copies of The Adventures of Coco le Chat, The World's Most Fashionable Feline, and when you meet Coco in person, you quickly see how special a cat she is!

Then yesterday, Coco and I drove up to Bel Air, Maryland to join in the fun and support Pugs for Pinky's Halloween Costume contest, and to help celebrate Kismet the Pugs 10th birthday.

They raised over $700 to help Pugs in need and we were happy to help in our little way, and it was a lovely Autumn day, sunny and windy and 70 degrees! The dogs all had a blast...

Coco wore the dress and hat gifted to her by our friend Carol of the Naked and Hungry blog, and it is always a little bittersweet when she wears one of Carol's Maus' dresses, as Maus crossed the bridge earlier this year...but it's sweet to know her style carries on!

And we won Best Float, too...well, we were the only float, but that didn't dampen our glee! It was fun going with the whole Day of The Dead theme, and of course Coco was Divalicious in her macabre ensemble!

But she didn't scare anyone away, far from it! Everyone was intrigued by the kitty at the Pugfest, and as always, Coco amazed me with her cool as a cucumber personality, as this was only the second outdoor event we have attended...

She truly carries herself with an air of confidence and verve...much as the 'Adventures' story weaves around what she is like in real life....makes me smile every time I am out with her!

Monday Mewsings

No time to blog? We've been busy pawtographing copies of The Adventures of Coco Le Chat, the World's Most Fashionable Feline, the just released children's book featuring Coco!
And we are making plans to do some paw signing in purrson at a couple of local pet boutiques, as well as attending the Central PA Pet Expo this coming weekend, books in hand!

Here's some pix of Coco making the rounds at Chico's Pet Depot, a new store that just opened and that features homeless kitties from Fancy Cats Rescue, the organization that held that a Carnaval of a fund raiser a few weeks ago!

And remember, if you would like to purchase your very own personalized copy of The Adventures of Coco Le Chat, the World's Most Fashionable Feline (imprinted with a pink paw print and some sweet nothings in French)...just leave us a comment with your email, and we'll get in touch!
